COURSE DESCRIPTIONS

I. BIBLE

BIR 301 The Gospel of John
The study of Jesus, as the Son of God, with signs following, the provision of God for mankind’s’ salvation.

BIE 302 Ephesians
An investigation into the revealed plan, purpose, and destiny of God for humanity and how it translates into everyday practical living for every one of us.

BIR 303 The Epistle of Paul to the Romans
An introductory study of Romans as a call to a life of righteousness befitting the person who is justified freely by God’s grace.

BIR 304 The Acts of the Apostles
The study of the birth and early growth of the church through “The Acts of the Holy Spirit”. For the purpose and power of moving in God’s power today with signs and wonders.

BIE 305 Hebrews - God’s Provision for Our Faith
An exhortation to “go on to perfection” Strong Biblical exposition showing we are called to “look unto Jesus, the author and finished of our faith.”

BIR 306 1 Peter - Comfort for the Suffering Church
A thorough study of the book written to believers under persecution a clear call to follow Jesus who “committed himself to Him who judges justly.”

BIE 307 The Epistles of John
First, Second and Third John

BIE 308 The Gospel According to Isaiah
A devotional-centered study seeking personal Holy Spirit revelation and strength for the journey.

BIR 309 Bible Characters I
A survey of the Old Testament through the study of the major Bible characters. Part I Genesis chapters 1 through 11. Creation, The God head, Trinity, Adam and Eve, The Fall, The Flood, The Tower of Babel, The call of Abram.

BIR 310 Bible Characters II
The life of Abraham to Jesus. The men and women that God chose to work through their life and calling, Abraham to Joseph and Moses to David and Solomon, the prophets Samuel to Ezekiel to the genealogy in Matthew.

BIR 311 Bible Characters III
The Life of Jesus and the men He chose to work through. The apostles to the Jews and the apostle to the gentiles. The out pouring and baptism of the Holy Spirit. The beginning of the Church and its early development.

BIE 312 The Life of Paul
A Biblical study of the life of Paul and the transforming work that God did in him as a model of what He desires to do in us. From a religious fanatic to a zealous missionary for the Lord.

BIE 313 The Parables of Jesus
An in-depth study of the parables in the Gospels with an emphasis into the secrets and mysteries of the Kingdom of God.

II. LIFE IN CHRIST

THR 401 Deeper Life in Christ
A study and personal ministry of the full provision of the gospel of Jesus for a life of holiness and victory that is available to every believer.

THE 402 School of Prayer (one quarter) Intercessory Prayer
(Video series by “Dutch Sheets”)

This course in basic training for prayer warriors involving not only instruction and inspiration, but actual intercession.

THE 403 Prayer & Fasting
The calling to wait upon the Lord, seeking His presence for the purpose of having a greater relationship and knowledge of Him, with power and anointing.

THR 404 Understanding Your Faith
This course goes through all of the pertinent Scriptures, laying the foundation for Biblical faith, bringing clarity to a much misunderstood aspect of our walk with God.

THR 405 The Person and Work of the Holy Spirit
A Biblical study of the third person of the Trinity. How to have intimate fellowship with Him and walk in His power and gifts.

THR 406 The Authority of the Believer
A Biblical study of the authority God gives to believers in order to do the work of the Kingdom of God.

THE 407 Highway to Holiness
Foundation to any ministry is the character of the minister. This course centers on the call of Jesus to live a holy life.

THR 408 Sowing and Reaping
A Scriptural study of the principle of sowing and reaping with application to not grow weary in well doing, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.

THR 409 The End Times
A study of end-times prophetic Scriptures with particular emphasis on the Gospel of the Kingdom, the nation of Israel, and God’s ultimate plan.

THR 410 Faithful to the Written Word
Learning and applying basic rules of evangelical Bible interpretation.

THR 411 Gifts of Men - The Five-Fold Ministries
A thorough study of the ministries of apostle, prophet, evangelist, pastor, and teacher; and how they are to function today.

III. CHRISTIAN LIFE

CLR 201 Radical New Testament Christianity
A study of the early churches as they were established by the apostles, and how this authentic form of New Testament Christianity has continued to spring up through the centuries.

CLR 202 20 th Century Revivals
A study of the 20 th century phenomenon of “Pentecost” and the explosion of Pentecostal Christianity.

CLE 203 Shepherding the Local Church
A study of New Testament Scriptures relating to elders in the church. The course is designed especially for men and women with a heart to shepherd others.

CLR 204 The Kingdom of God
The establishment of the kingdom of God with authority, character and accountability. The heart where God rules and reigns.

CLR 205 Ministry and Servant Hood
This course sets forth the basis of all ministry - the clear call of Jesus to follow Him as a servant. A leader is a servant to all they would lead.

CLR 206 Spiritual Emphasis
Guest Ministries

Sessions held each Monday from 9:00am - 12:00 noon. Various guest ministers from the local area and other parts of the nation and world give a broad perspective on what is happening in the Church in our day. A time to learn to minister with our gifts from the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

CLR 207 Chapel
A time to learn to listen and reflect upon all the Lord is saying.

CLR 208 Internship, Ten Weeks
10 weeks, the same as one quarter of school, at approved church or para-church ministry.

Written Reports are required after weeks 3 - 6 - 10 from both the student and ministry leader serving. Report needs to contain, progress report of; accomplishments and strengths, teachable ness and cooperative’s, team member and supports; areas where work could be helpful, areas of concern.

Upon completion of the internship a required evaluation is submitted by both student and ministry leader, with constructive suggestions or words of encouragement.

IV. MINISTRY

PMR 101 Releasing the Prophetic
A New Testament perspective on the prophetic ministry and how the gift of prophecy is available to all believers.

PMR 102 Healing
This course is designed to develop faith in the Word of God and in the person of Christ as the healer. It is also an equipping class with hands-on experience.

PMR 103 Power Evangelism & Discipleship
A practical approach to Sprit filled witnessing. To know the Power and Authority given to every Spirit-filled believer. To bring the new Christian into an understanding of their new life in Christ.

PMR 104 Preaching and Teaching
A practical course to develop speaking skills. How to research, develop, and clearly communicate Scriptural truth.

PMR 105 Ministering Wholeness to a Broken World
Course on counseling in the Holy Spirit covering the areas of Spiritual warfare, growth, and healing.

PME 106 Marriage and Family
Brings forth God’s vision for the family and how to bring restoration to those in broken family relationships.

PME 107 Hearing from God
Learning to hear from God by a study of the Scriptures, hearing from believers who have walked with Him and corporate seeking times.

PMR 108 Developing a Heart for the Nations
This course covers God’s plan and purpose for missions from the birth of Christ to today. It is basic preparation for meeting today’s mission call and challenge.

PMR 109 Missions Trips
An exciting time of encounter the purpose and presence of God in another culture.

PMR 110 The Making of a Man of God
God’s preparation of us for a life of service based on the life of David, the “man after God’s own heart.”

PME 111 Releasing Praise & Worship
A study of the purpose and place of worship in the church and practical teaching of leading worship.

V. ADMINISTRATION HELPS

SSR 501 Study Methods
Learning ways to help you study more effectively, different methods and helps.

SSE 502 Basic Computer
Defining the different components of the computer, the basics of a word processor cut and paste, printing a document, saving with titles and the setting up of the file system. Internet and e-mail use, set up Yahoo accounts, address book receiving and sending e-mails.
